Christmas Star
24th December 2020
You may have heard about the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in December when they were so close together they appeared as one and were nicknamed the Christmas Star. If you take a look at our Instagram or Facebook posts you'll see a photo that we took on Christmas Eve when they were really close together (although they were actually more than 400 million miles apart!). We often get a great view of the Milky Way and this photo was taken from our top field in mid-December – it's amazing how many stars you can see with the naked eye when there’s little to no light pollution! We are proud to be an accredited Dark Sky Friendly Business with Exmoor National Park and we're always happy to set our telescope up for you to explore the night sky.
